ABOUt
Colin Antony is a Gloucestershire-based multimedia artist and member of Gloucester Contemporary Artists, a not-for-profit network of artists dedicated to establishing Gloucester as a vibrant centre for contemporary art through exhibitions, workshops, public engagement and artist-led initiatives. (GlosContemporaryArt)
Working across mixed media, digital processes and experimental visual forms, Colin explores themes of memory, place, transformation and human connection. His work combines physical and digital techniques, creating layered compositions that invite viewers to pause, reflect and discover new narratives within familiar environments.
As part of Gloucester Contemporary Artists, Colin has contributed to a growing movement that brings contemporary art beyond traditional gallery walls and into the everyday life of the city. Through public exhibitions, open studios and collaborative projects, the organisation encourages artists and audiences alike to engage with creativity in unexpected spaces. (GlosContemporaryArt)
In 2025, Colin was awarded Second Prize in Gloucester Contemporary Artists' city-wide Adopt an Artist competition. The project transformed Gloucester into an interactive art trail, with artworks displayed throughout shop windows, cafés and businesses across the city centre. Visitors were invited to explore the trail, discovering artworks scattered across Gloucester and responding to pieces that resonated with them personally. Inspired by the work of artist Jane Spooner, Colin's winning entry became part of the exhibition, celebrating the dialogue between artists, place and public participation. (GlosContemporaryArt)
Colin has also exhibited in London at the OXO building as part of a group exhibition, extending his practice beyond the region while remaining closely connected to Gloucestershire's evolving contemporary arts scene.
His work continues to develop through an interdisciplinary approach that embraces experimentation, material exploration and the belief that art can create moments of connection, curiosity and discovery within both gallery spaces and the wider public landscape.
Based in Gloucestershire, Colin welcomes opportunities for exhibitions, commissions and creative collaborations.
